Notes are guaranteed by AEGON Financial Assurance Ireland Limited (AFA), a non-life insurance company incorporated in Ireland under the auspices of the Financial Regulator in Ireland. The notes are rated Aa1 by Moody's Investors Service and AA by Standard & Poor's.

AGIM and AFA were established in Ireland using expertise from AEGON's U.S.-based Institutional Markets Division, based in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Through AEGON's insurance companies in the U.S., AEGON Institutional Markets has been a leading provider of products and services to U.S. institutional investors for nearly a quarter-century.
